WNF seeks a Lithography Engineer

The WNF Lithography Engineer will be responsible for routine and directed research support, baseline process monitoring, equipment checks, basic maintenance, and user training and assistance in support of WNF’s electron beam lithography process line and, secondarily, its photolithography lines, enabling high resolution research processes for WNF’s interdisciplinary and widely varied users, both local and on a contracted fabrication basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Improve time-to-train by assuming primary responsibility for training new users while ensuring the necessary level of thoroughness to prevent risks to personnel and equipment longevity.
• Improve process reliability by monitoring baseline processes for drift and assisting in troubleshooting and maintenance efforts.
• Reduce equipment downtime by working with other facility staff and users to identify equipment issues and address them in a timely manner by assisting in troubleshooting, documentation, and maintenance coordination.
• Broaden WNF’s stance in the research community by working with other staff to improve existing processes and establish new process in relevant areas of developing interest.
• Improve WNF’s resiliency by being cross-trained in other process lines, providing secondary support for other cleanroom equipment.
• Contribute to the development of a high functioning, diverse, and interdisciplinary team by working collaboratively and responsibly with staff and users.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, chemistry or related technical field or equivalent years of experience.
• At least one year working experience with micro and nanofabrication tools as a process technician/engineer.
• Working knowledge of Lithography techniques and tools used in semiconductor processing.  Excellent written and oral communication skills, including project organization and training others.

Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE
• Experience working in a cleanroom environment.
• Nanofabrication experience including process development in lithography.
• Experience with the chemistry of resists.
• Familiarity with EBL tools and processing
